Lasting for at least 1 hour, this professional Ecotourism guided tour, delivered by Alison, uses Timandra by the Sea garden to showcase how a sustainable garden is developed. What conditions prevailed from the outset? What are the sustainable influences that have been used within this garden? The various names of plants are discussed that work with different conditions i.e. wet and dry. As our climate changes we need to be well versed about what these changes will do to our gardens, state parks and public spaces. Unless sustainable practices are utilised from the outset, especially in relation to urban planning and landscape design, then gardens en masse will fail because of either too much rain or insufficient rain. Wind is also a major factor that needs to be discussed and how we can better protect our spaces with the use of more trees.
These tours, delivered by an Eco certified tour guide, multi-award winning sustainable landscape designer and garden author, cover a lot within the hour.
Tours are priced at $15 per head which includes the garden entry with a minimum of 10 people per booking. Over 20 people this becomes $10 per head.
With 1 weeks notice, we will provide a packed, healthy lunch for $25 per head which includes espresso coffee/quality teas and the guided tour. Alternatively we can provide an urn with hot water for you to bring your own refreshments at no extra cost.
All prices include GST. Payment is to be made on the day please.
